Andrew Luck was born in 1989 and, by the looks of it, so was his cell phone.
Luck was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft and signed a four-year, $22 million contract before even stepping on an NFL field for the first time. But he hasn’t spent any of that money on a fancy smartphone.
Colts backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck tweeted out a photo of Luck’s cell phone on Tuesday night, showing off the 23-year-old Pro Bowler’s flip phone.
Many scouts and experts viewed Luck as an old school pocket passer when coming out of Stanford last spring, and apparently so does the 37-year-old Hasselbeck.
Hasselbeck seems to be having plenty of fun in his first days as with the Colts, as he enjoyed a little competition on the basketball court with teammate Chandler Harnish as well on Tuesday.
Check out the photo of Luck’s not-so-smart phone below.
