Tiger Woods‘ relationship with his late father Earl was well-documented, with the elder Woods playing a big role in the transformation of young Eldrick into Tiger on and off the golf course. Now a father himself, Tiger is getting his chance to expose his son to the game he knows and loves.
Woods cruised to a seven-shot win Sunday at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, and after the golfer completed his 79th career PGA Tour win, he celebrated with his son Charlie. It was the first time Woods has publicly celebrated a victory with his son, and it was a rare public appearance for the youngster.
“He’s never been around when I’ve won a tournament so this was special for both of us and one that I think hopefully he’ll remember,” Woods told the Golf Channel, according to SB Nation.
