Bad weather plus bad football does not equal a packed stadium.
During the first half of Washington’s game against the Chiefs, Redskins fans endured a mix of freezing rain and snow on top of some pretty poor play from the home team. Robert Griffin III and Co. did nothing to help their fans forget the weather woes, either, trailing 38-10 at halftime.
The Redskins had essentially called it a day at that point, so their fans decided to follow suit, packing it in and leaving FedEx Field mostly barren for the start of the third period.
Unfortunately for those who did stick it out, they were subjected to watching Kansas City continue their domination. The Chiefs went on to win 45-10.
