The Anaheim Ducks have the best record in the NHL, and a large portion of the team’s success can be attributed to the phenomenal performances from superstar center Ryan Getzlaf.
The team captain tallied a hat trick (plus an assist) en route to a 5-3 road win over the New York Islanders on Saturday night. The victory extended Anaheim’s win streak to a franchise-best eight games.
Getzlaf is making a strong case to be one of the top-four centers on Team Canada’s roster at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. The 28-year-old veteran leads the Ducks in scoring with 43 points and his 19 goals are second to linemate Corey Perry‘s 22.
