Philadelphia Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo received a four-game suspension from the NFL for his illegal hit to the head of Buffalo Sabres defenseman Chad Ruhwedel.

The hit immediately warranted a match penalty during Sunday’s game, and the NHL Department of Player Safety doled out the rest of Rinaldo’s punishment the next day.

The four-game suspension means Rinaldo will miss the rest of the Flyers’ regular season. Rinaldo has been in trouble with the NHL before, having already paid two fines and served a previous suspension.
