Cameroon was its own worst enemy Wednesday.
In the 44th minute of Cameroon’s 2014 FIFA World Cup game against Croatia, midfielder Alex Song carelessly — and viciously — elbowed Mario Mandzukic in the back and was shown a straight red card. The African nation was only trailing 1-0, but it was suddenly a man down and without one of its best players.
The Indomitable Lions ended up being dominated 4-0, and tensions on the team were high.
At the end of the game, Cameroonian teammates Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Benjamin Moukandjo were caught having a physical altercation.

The loss eliminated Cameroon from contention in the tournament, and it will take on host country Brazil in its final game Monday.
