Joe Kelly needed to document a historic moment. What better way to do so than taking a selfie?
The historic moment, of course, was New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter’s final game of his 20-year career, which took place against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Sunday.
Boston honored Jeter with a moving pregame ceremony, and the Red Sox players also got in on the act. Rusney Castillo made sure to get a picture with the Yankee legend before the game, but Kelly one-upped him by snapping a selfie with Jeter on the field before the game.

Kelly’s decision prompted a pretty awesome reaction from his wife, Ashley, but chances are the Red Sox pitcher still thinks it’s worth it.
The Minnesota Vikings actually thought it’d be a good idea to take the field against the Atlanta Falcons like this.

Jeremy Maclin made a decent catch on Sunday.
