Good luck stumping Tampa Bay Lightning center Steven Stamkos.
The Lightning star can remember every goal he’s ever scored during his six-year NHL career, but he remembers many more details about the 233 tallies he’s racked up over the years than a regular human would. Give him a random date, score and opponent and Stamkos can recall the exact sequence of events that led up to his goal.
TSN’s James Duthie recently put Stamkos’ freakishly good memory to the test, and boy, it did not disappoint. Stamkos walked us through both goals he scored in a Nov. 7 game against the Edmonton Oilers in 2013, not leaving a second of the action out.
From recalling the initial turnover that led to his goal to remembering that he first “juggled” the puck before wrapping it around the post for his second score of the game, it’s freakish. Just freakish.
