Xavier basketball coach Chris Mack saw the New England Patriots’ disastrous 41-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4 and was feeling pretty confident for his Cincinnati Bengals’ Week 5 matchup against the Pats.
So confident, in fact, that he decided to make a bet with his graduate assistant Joe Sullivan — who’s a huge Patriots fan — that he’d change his Twitter avatar to a photo of New England head coach Bill Belichick if the Bengals lost.
The Patriots, of course, blew out Cincinnati 43-17 and Sullivan gently reminded Mack that he had a promise to make good on.
