Saturday’s game against No. 4 Auburn couldn’t have ended much worse for No. 7 Ole Miss.
Rebels wide receiver Laquon Treadwell appeared to have scored the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter, but he fumbled in the end zone. Auburn recovered to preserve the 35-31 victory.
Adding injury to insult, Treadwell’s ankle bent in ways that ankles aren’t supposed to bend. If you’re not into watching gruesome injuries, you should probably skip the video below.

As one would expect, Treadwell was taken off the field in a cart after the play. Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze revealed after the game that Treadwell suffered a leg fracture, but the coach wouldn’t go into any more detail.
It was a terrible way to end what was otherwise a great matchup between two top 10 teams.
