Patriots Can Affect Andrew Luck’s Decision-Making With Quick Start In Indy

The New England Patriots — or any other NFL team for that matter — want to get out to fast starts. That might be even more important Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, though.

The Patriots will have the unenviable task of trying to slow down Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. However, the phenom QB has shown at times this season that he’s susceptible to turning the ball over.

Former NFL linebacker Matt Chatham detailed the process for forcing Luck’s turnovers on FootballByFootball.com. According to Chatham, one of the best ways to get “Dumb Luck” to appear is to jump out to a fast start and force the Colts to change their game plan.

“As a defense, an impatient Colts offense is a blessing, because even when trailing they have plenty of firepower to slowly make their way back through table-setting run plays and play-action work to their back and tight ends,” Chatham wrote. ” When the Colts panic and go to a wide-receiver game focus, the Patriots faithful should say a prayer of thanks.”
