The most dramatic referee in the NFL was working Sunday’s game between the Miami Dolphins and the San Diego Chargers.
In the final moments of the Dolphins’ dominant 37-0 win, the team decided to drench head coach Joe Philbin with a Gatorade ice bath to celebrate the shutout victory. Unfortunately, though, a referee was in the wrong spot at the wrong time, and he unwillingly got in on the chilly surprise.

While Philbin reacted like a guy who has been there before, the poor ref did not exactly play it off in the coolest manner. To be fair, it isn’t every day a coach gets the ice-bath treatment during the regular season, but Philbin’s father passed away Friday.
