FOXBORO, Mass. — New England Patriots fans and reporters will have to wait to hear from head coach Bill Belichick.
Belichick delayed his press conference with the media to meet with the Patriots’ training staff. Patriots VP of media relations Stacey James said the situation was “nothing serious.” Belichick would have been held up 30 or 40 minutes, and it would be easier for all parties to hold a conference call later in the afternoon.
The Patriots lost to the Buffalo Bills for the first time ever at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots end their regular season with a 12-4 record after the 17-9 loss. The game was meaningless for the Patriots, who rested their starters in the second half, after locking up the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs during Week 16.
