The home team’s colors fit Daniel Sturridge nicely.
Sturridge, who is rehabbing from injury in Boston, posed for a photo wearing Boston Red Sox shorts and a hooded sweatshirt from the Major League Baseball team. The Liverpool striker posted the photo on his Instagram account Monday.

Sturridge has missed all of Liverpool’s games since Aug. 31 due to thigh and calf injuries, and the Reds have struggled in his absence.
Sturridge has been working out at Red Sox facilities under the supervision of officials from both the baseball team and Liverpool for the last week.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said Sunday that he hopes Sturridge will be able to return to action in January.
“That will probably be just after the Christmas period,” Rodgers said Sunday, according to LiverpoolFC.com. “The first phase of his rehab was out in LA where we did some specific work with him there.
“He’s gone to Boston to pick up the next stage, then he’ll move on again to a specialist facility out there and hopefully in the early part of the New Year he’ll be back and be somewhere close to being fit and playing.
“At some stage in January, we’ll look to get Dan back. That will be really exciting for this team.”
Sturridge looks comfortable in Red Sox gear, but he undoubtedly is itching to shed their colors in favor of Liverpool’s.
