Tim Tebow To Debut As In-Game Analyst For Peach Bowl On ESPN
Tim Tebow is movin’ on up from the minor leagues to big club.
USA Today reported that the former Denver Broncos quarterback was tabbed by ESPN to be an analyst for the Peach Bowl between No. 6 TCU and No. 9 Ole Miss on Dec. 31 at 12:30 p.m.
Tebow will be part of a team featuring play-by-play man Joe Tessitore, analyst Brock Huard and reporter Shannon Spake.
Tessitore, who worked with Tebow this fall on the ESPN-owned SEC Network, praised the quarterback for his work ethic.
“I know that (Tebow) has told our producers that he wants constant feedback, he wants to be coached and he wants to be great at TV,” Tessitore said. “He calls and texts me nonstop to discuss every detail of everything we’re doing. … That’s commitment to preparation.”
There’s no doubt Tebow would much rather be helping an NFL team with quarterback needs get to the playoffs (and judging from Thursday night’s game between the St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals, there are more than a few that could use one).
But it’s nice to see Tebow adjust nicely into the television world after his NFL career was unceremoniously halted after his stint with the New England Patriots.
