The New England Patriots’ defense doesn’t have a cool nickname like “Legion of Boom.” So what?
Patriots safety Devin McCourty took a shot at Sports Illustrated’s recent cover praising the Seattle Seahawks’ secondary during New England’s Super Bowl victory parade through the streets of Boston on Wednesday.
McCourty tweeted a photo of him and several Patriots teammates celebrating on one of the duck boats. The two-time All-Pro also dubbed the Patriots’ secondary the “best” in the NFL.

McCourty’s tweet wasn’t the only shot fired toward Seattle during Wednesday’s festivities. Patriots fans did their best to troll Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman throughout the championship parade.
