Mason Plumlee wasn’t in a drinking mood Saturday night.
The Brooklyn Nets big guy found himself in a messy situation late in the first quarter against the Washington Wizards.
Plumlee went chasing after a loose ball in the corner, but that was to no avail as the ball went out of bounds. In slowing down after the chase, however, Plumlee ran into a courtside attendant. That courtside attendant was about to deliver a tray full of beers, and well, the small bump was enough to send the beer flying everywhere.

It looks even more chaotic in photographic form.
We kind of want to give Plumlee the benefit of the doubt here, but then again, when you watch the video again, he really doesn’t do much to get out of the way. In fact, he kind of shoves the poor lady, and while he certainly doesn’t hip-check her or anything like that, you have to think he could have avoided the bump.
Plumlee’s reaction to the whole thing — he looks pretty peeved — also is kind of irksome. Sure, he got his sneakers wet. But imagine being the guy who’s now wearing a full beer in his lap the rest of the night or the lady just trying to do her job.
Things got far worse from there for Plumlee and the Nets, as the Wizards cruised to a 114-77Â blowout win.
