New England Patriots fans’ dreams of signing Andre Johnson have died.
Johnson signed with the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday, the team announced. Johnson received a three-year, $21 million contract, a source told NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
Johnson was released by the Houston Texans on Monday after 12 years with the team.
Johnson reunites with Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, who was a University of Miami recruiter and defensive backs coach while the wide receiver was at the school. Former Miami running back Frank Gore also signed with the Colts this offseason.
Johnson posted a picture with Pagano on Instagram.
