We might finally have found something Brock Holt isn’t that good at.
The Boston Red Sox’s jack of all trades filled almost every role imaginable in 2014, but Holt ran into some trouble against teammate Daniel Nava in the latest edition of “Know Your Teammates” trivia.
Things looked good for Holt early on after he got the first two questions right and Nava missed one about Mookie Betts’ uncle, Terry Shumpert. Yet Nava evened the score heading into the bonus round and had the chance to take the lead when Holt completely blanked on the pitcher who surrendered a grand slam to Nava in his first major league at-bat (Joe Blanton).
Nava certainly made the most of it, correctly identifying reliever Joel Hanrahan as the other player involved in Holt’s trade to finish with nine points, good for second in the clubhouse behind leader Dustin Pedroia.
