David Ortiz Wishes Koji Uehara Happy 40th Birthday, Calls Him Old (Photos)

Koji Uehara celebrated his birthday Friday, and David Ortiz was quick to point out how old the pitcher is.

The Boston Red Sox closer is 40, making him the oldest guy on the team. Ortiz, who doesn’t turn the big four-oh until Nov. 18, posted not one but two photos to Instagram wishing Uehara a happy birthday while reveling in the fact that he’s seven months younger.

Hasn’t anyone ever told Big Papi to respect his elders?

However, Ortiz shouldn’t be bragging too much. The Red Sox announced Friday that Uehara will start the season on the disabled list with a hamstring injury, which means Ortiz will be the oldest one on the Opening Day roster.
