Punters are athletes, but they usually aren’t ninjas.
Seattle Seahawks punter Jon Ryan competed on Monday night’s episode of “American Ninja Warrior” and made punters everywhere pretty proud of his valiant effort. With teammates Jermaine Kearse and Derrick Coleman in attendance to cheer Ryan on, the “Ginja Ninja” dominated the first two obstacles of the stage 1 course, but the tilting table got the best of him.

Ryan’s run ended in under a minute, but it might not be the last we see of him on the NBC show. Ryan sent out a tweet after he competed, telling his fans he’ll be back to conquer the tilting table next year.
