One young Cleveland Indians fan probably now is a very big fan of one of his team’s biggest rivals.
A young Tribe fan took in Tuesday’s game against the Detroit Tigers and he ended up making one of the plays of the game. As a bounding ball came down the first-base foul line, the fan reached over the wall and snagged the ball with his hat.
Clearly excited about his grab, he started celebrating, and it became quite evident that Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera saw the whole thing happen. In fact, the kid noticed that Miggy noticed and quickly started peacocking for the Tigers slugger.
Cabrera showed the kid some love, but that was only the beginning. Later on, Cabrera apparently decided to reward the youngster for his play by giving him a pair of batting gloves and a bat.
All in all, a pretty cool moment.
