Connor McDavid already is drawing rave reviews from Edmonton Oilers fans — and he hasn’t yet played in an official game yet.
Oilers development camp is underway and McDavid, as expected, is putting on a show. In addition to showing off his smooth hands, excellent playmaking skill and incredible offensive awareness, he scored five goals in a recent scrimmage.

Even though it’s only a scrimmage, these goals are just astounding. Don’t be surprised if we see a lot of these types of goals in actual regular-season games come October.
McDavid was the top pick in the 2015 NHL Draft and already signed his three-year, entry-level contract with the Oilers. He’ll be a top-six forward for Edmonton next season and is the overwhelming favorite for the Calder Trophy.
