David Ortiz’s jersey continues to fly off the shelves even in a down year by the slugger’s usual standards.

Ortiz’s No. 34 jersey was the ninth-most popular in Major League Baseball during the first half of this season, MLB announced Thursday.

The designated hitter was the only Red Sox player to crack the top 10 and, interestingly, one of only two American Leaguers to do so. Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (seventh) was the other.

The defending champion San Francisco Giants were the only team with three top-10 finishers — left-hander Madison Bumgarner finished second, followed by catcher Buster Posey at No. 3 and outfielder Hunter Pence at No. 6. Two Chicago Cubs bookended the list, with rookie outfielder Kris Bryant earning the top spot and first baseman Anthony Rizzo coming in at No. 10.

Rounding out the top 10 were Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw (fourth), Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper (fifth) and New York Mets right-hander Matt Harvey (eighth).
