For Reed Harper, a baseball glove is just a suggestion.
Harper plays shortstop for the Carolina Mudcats, the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The 24-year-old could have used the leather contraption in Thursday night’s game against the Winston-Salem Dash. But when a Winston-Salem batter hit a fly ball to shallow left field, Harper decided on a different option.

Either Harper has Jahlil Okafor hands, or that was a really awesome catch.
Apparently it was Reed Harper Night at Five County Stadium, as the shortstop also went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, which proved to the difference in the Mudcats’ 3-1 win.
