Randy Johnson’s Hall Of Fame Career Included Being Mullet Pioneer (Photos)

Randy Johnson’s career speaks for itself, and his countless achievements and accomplishments will be honored Sunday.

The Big Unit will be one of four baseball legends inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday afternoon in Cooperstown, with Johnson arguably the biggest no-brainer of this year’s class. Johnson truly finished his career as one of the best pitchers of all time, armed with five Cy Young awards, finishing his incredible career with more than 300 wins and second in all-time strikeouts with 4,875.

Not bad, right?

Yet, Johnson’s biggest career accomplishment might have centered around his hair. The tall left-hander rocked the mullet for much of his career, and as one of the best players of his generation, he helped popularize the ridiculous hairdo. OK, so maybe that’s a bit of a stretch, but as Johnson gets set to enter Cooperstown’s hallowed halls, it’s a perfect time to reflect on some of baseball’s best mullets.
