Brooks Laich’s offseason started a little earlier than he might have liked, but it hasn’t been a bad summer for him, either.
The Washington Capitals forward and his girlfriend, Julianne Hough from “Dancing With the Stars,” now are engaged.
Hough announced the news on her Instagram account Tuesday.

Laich and Hough have been dating since February of last year. The Capitals open their 2015-16 season Oct. 10 against the New Jersey Devils on home ice.
