Koji Uehara is in good spirits.
That probably qualifies as the least shocking news of the Boston Red Sox’s 2015 season — Uehara always seems to be in good spirits — but the injured closer hopped on Twitter after Thursday’s win over the Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park to show off his cast. It’s signed by his Red Sox teammates.

Uehara suffered a non-displaced distal radius fracture in his right wrist when he was struck by a line drive Aug. 7. The 40-year-old will miss the remainder of the season because of the injury, which must be frustrating, but it’s nice to see Uehara still finding a way to lighten the mood.
And really, who wouldn’t want to sign Koji’s cast?
