Julian Edelman also wished the Bills safety well in his recovery.
Edelman said his thoughts and prayers were with Williams: "I hope he’s going to do well. You definitely don’t want to see that."

ORIGINAL POST: The mood at Ralph Wilson Stadium changed in a hurry Sunday.
Buffalo Bills fans began the day trying to break a crowd noise record during their Week 2 game against the New England Patriots. The afternoon took a somber turn in the third quarter, though, when Bills safety Aaron Williams suffered a neck injury and left the field in an ambulance.
Hopefully this isn't the last play of Aaron Williams. Football is a brutal game. https://t.co/B6Zti8Qatz

Williams suffered the injury while trying to tackle Julian Edelman at the goal line on the Patriots wide receiver’s second touchdown of the game. The crowd already had been silenced to some extent by the Patriots seizing control early, but Williams’ injury made for a very scary scene.
Sunday’s game was delayed several minutes before Williams, who was immobilized, exited in the ambulance. The 25-year-old was ruled out for the remainder of the contest a short time later.
