Texas’ special teams have been anything but this season.
One week after kicker Nick Rose missed a potential game-tying extra point late in a 45-44 loss to Cal, the Longhorns’ punter followed suit Saturday with a disastrous blunder of his own.
With the score tied and less than a minute remaining in a matchup with Big 12 rival Oklahoma State, Michael Dickson fumbled a snap deep in his own end. Dickson gathered the bouncing ball and got off some semblance of a punt, but his poor attempt gave the Cowboys the ball at the Longhorns’ 18-yard line.

Oklahoma State booted a 40-yard field goal two plays later to hand Texas a second consecutive devastating loss, this one by a final score of 30-27.
But hey, at least there weren’t many Longhorns fans around to see it:
