UFC To Return To London In February 2016 For Highly Anticipated Event

UFC on Wednesday announced the first event on the EMEA schedule for 2016. UFC Fight Night will return to The O2 on Saturday, Feb. 27, following a successful event in 2014 and continued demand from fans for a reappearance.

The UFC last visited London in 2014, with 14,000 fans watching Britain’s Jimi “Poster Boy” Manuwa take on Swedish powerhouse Alex “The Mauler” Gustafsson in an unforgettable main event battle. That event sold out in under 24 hours and, since then, fans all over the UK have longed for a UFC event to return to the capital city of London.

A similar sell-out reaction is expected when tickets to the 2016 event are released to the public Friday, Dec. 4, 2015.

Bouts will be announced in due course, however fighters including the No. 8 ranked UFC middleweight Michael “The Count” Bisping, fan favorite Brad “One Punch” Pickett and lightweight Ross “The Real Deal” Pearson have already discussed their desire to compete in front of home fans on the London fight card.
