The Kansas City Royals sit comfortably in first place in the American League Central, so you’ll forgive their fans if they want to treat themselves every once in a while.
One young Royals supporter took that to heart Tuesday night, and it was a sight to behold.
Television cameras at Kauffman Stadium caught the young fan enjoying a massive waffle cone of what appeared to be mint chocolate chip ice cream — and not caring one bit that he was making a complete mess of himself.

It’s hard to love anything as much as this kid loved that ice cream cone.

The young Royals fan’s eating strategy immediately puts him up there with “hot dog kid,” whose heroic efforts in consuming the ballpark snack at a recent Los Angeles Angels game rightfully were praised.
Unfortunately, Kansas City went on to lose 6-5 to the Detroit Tigers, but there’s no way the result made this kid’s night any worse.
