The Seattle Seahawks went deep into their playbook during their Week 6 matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
Seattle had a slim 10-7 lead early in the third quarter when quarterback Russell Wilson pitched the ball back to running back Marshawn Lynch. But as it turns out, that was just the start of something big for the Seahawks.
Lynch threw it back to Wilson, who found Ricardo Lockette for a 40-yard touchdown. It was a textbook flea flicker, and Seattle managed to completely fool one of the top defenses in the league with it.
1st) It's a flea-flicker, which is always fun
2nd) It's an absolutely insane 40-yard catch by Ricardo Lockette http://t.co/1WbrfWF5Ws— NFL (@NFL) October 18, 2015
Lockette wasn’t exactly wide open on the play, but he still managed to come up with the touchdown.
