Peyton Manning, not surprisingly, is pretty ticked off about allegations of him using HGH.
And like another quarterback recently dragged through some wild accusations, Manning is considering taking his defamers to court.
“Yeah, I probably will (sue),” Manning told TheMMQB.com’s Peter King, via ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio. “I’m that angry.”
But, as Florio notes, filing a defamation lawsuit could do more harm than good.
Besides keeping Manning’s alleged HGH use in the daily news cycle, defense attorneys could dig up much more embarrassing or just private information about the Denver Broncos quarterback while trying to establish Manning’s reputation and whether or not the allegations defamed it.
The pharmacist quoted in the documentary that paints Manning so poorly told ESPN that he lied. Still, the damage has been done in just 24 hours, and Manning potentially has a case if he wishes to pursue it.
