BOSTON — All-Star players often bring All-Star crowds, and that certainly was the case Friday night at TD Garden.
Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas earned quite the honor Thursday when he was named to his first NBA All-Star Game as a reserve for the Eastern Conference. So, one day later, a close friend decided to pay Thomas a visit.

Yes, that’s boxer Floyd Mayweather sitting courtside at the Celtics’ game against the Orlando Magic.
Mayweather and Thomas go way back, as the two undersized athletes (Mayweather is 5-foot-8) have been close for years. Of course, the boxing champ is a pretty polarizing figure, so when TD Garden flashed his likeness on the Jumbotron, it drew a quite the mix of cheers and jeers.

Mayweather garnered plenty of attention at his courtside seat, but he made sure to catch up with Thomas at halftime.
