The New England Patriots’ AFC Championship Game loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday was met with myriad emotions — and, of course, memes.
The Internet has a way of taking something and running with it, and New England’s heartbreaking 20-18 defeat was no different, especially given how prominent the Patriots have been this season in the wake of Deflategate and last season’s Super Bowl win. The fact that Tom Brady and Co. fell to Peyton Manning and the Broncos certainly added to the social media insanity that ensued.
So, with that in mind, let’s run down some of the best (or worst) of Twitter in the moments after the Broncos defeated the Patriots to punch their ticket to Super Bowl 50. The famous crying Michael Jordan meme, Jane Rosenberg’s Brady courtroom sketch and Steve Harvey all were hot topics.
