Boston University’s men’s basketball team rarely commands the national spotlight (unlike their hockey counterparts), but John Papale changed that for a moment in time with a running floater.
Papale, a senior guard, hit a buzzer-beater to seal BU’s 75-73 win over Lehigh on Sunday in Patriot League play. If the improbable, comeback win didn’t satisfy Terrier fans’ weekend hopes, a top place for Papale’s shot in ESPN “SportsCenter’s” famed “Top 10” must have done the trick.

How appropriate that @Buccigross would announce @BostonUMBB as the #SCtop10 No. 1 play before #BUBeanpot! #ProudToBU pic.twitter.com/a3jFkmt4MU

What do you think? Leave a comment.
BU only was in position to snatch the win because junior guard Eric Fanning drained a game-tying three-pointer with 11 seconds to play.

Papale and BU basketball might not step back into the national spotlight, so let’s hope they’ll bask in it for as long as the news cycle allows them to do so.
