The Providence Bruins reportedly were forced to make a last-minute change in net Saturday night after starting goalie Malcolm Subban suffered an injury during warmups.
Subban was transported to a local hospital after a puck struck him in the throat before the P-Bruins’ game against the Portland Pirates, according to multiple reports.

With Subban out, Zane McIntyre got the nod in net for the Baby B’s. Forward Benn Ferriero served as McIntyre’s emergency backup, per Chris Roy of the Maine Hockey Journal.
.@AHLBruins are currently using Benn Ferriero has a backup G at the moment. He's not in gear. He's just sitting where the backup sits.

Subban has played in 27 games for Providence this season, posting a 14-8-5 record with a 2.46 goals against average and .911 save percentage. The 22-year-old briefly was called up to the big club earlier this week, backing up Boston starter Tuukka Rask in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs before returning to the AHL.

No word yet on extent of @SubbZero30 injury, but he will be staying overnight at Portland-area hospital, per Bruce Cassidy.
