The Golden State Warriors are on pace to break the 1996 Chicago Bulls’ record of 72 wins in a season, and it turns out Michael Jordan is just fine with that.
Jordan hasn’t said anything publicly about the Warriors creeping up on the ’96 Bulls — the Dubs sit at 48-4 — but he was in Toronto with the rest of the NBA’s best for All-Star weekend. And apparently, he gave Warriors guard Klay Thompson his blessing to break Chicago’s record.

Of course, Golden State doesn’t need His Airness’ permission to keep winning games, but it’s still a pretty cool gesture. MJ was one of the most competitive athletes on the face of the planet, so it honestly wouldn’t have been surprising if he was rooting against the Warriors.
But, hey, it certainly can’t hurt to to have the greatest NBA player of all time on your side.
