The Oklahoma City Thunder added a quality player just a few hours before Thursday’s 3 p.m. ET NBA trade deadline.
Randy Foye, a shooting guardĀ capable of playing good defense and providing bench scoring, was dealt from the Denver Nuggets to the Thunder in exchange for multiple players and draft picks, per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
Oklahoma City will DJ Augustin, Steve Novak and two second-round picks to Denver for Randy Foye, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Denver will keep searching for a home for Novak's contract, but he's with Nuggets for now, league sources said.

OKC also benefits from a trade exception.

Foye is averaging 6.0 points (five below his career average), 2.1 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game this season. He’s also shooting 83 percent from the free-throw line. The former first-round draft pick has an expiring contract with a $3.135 million salary, per Hoops Hype.
The Thunder needed to do something to bolster their roster for a potential playoff matchup with the Golden State Warriors and/or San Antonio Spurs. OKC entered Thursday as the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
