Nick Victor’s attempt at an NCAA Tournament posterization Thursday afternoon went horribly, horribly wrong.
The Yale senior elevated for a dunk during the first half of the No. 11 seeded Bulldogs’ first-round matchup with No. 5 seed Baylor only for Rico Gathers to block his attempt into oblivion.

All that was missing was the finger wag.
No. 12 seed Yale would get the last laugh, however, holding on for a shocking 79-75 win over the Bears in its first NCAA Tournament game since 1962.
Baylor, a No. 5 seed, also was bounced in the opening round last year, falling to 14th-seeded Georgia State in a stunning upset. R.J. Hunter, who now plays for the Boston Celtics, nailed a game-winning 3-pointer in the final moments of that one.
