Kenedy could be president one day if he keeps running and scoring this quickly. Just kidding.
The Chelsea midfielder, whose full name is Robert Kenedy Nunes do Nascimento, scored the fastest goal of the 2015-16 Premier League season Thursday in his team’s 2-1 win over Norwich City. Kenedy surged forward and hit paydirt just 39 seconds after kickoff.

Kenedy’s goal was 10 seconds quicker than his nearest competitor’s. Bournemouth’s Matt Ritchie scored a goal within 49 seconds on Oct. 25.

No Chelsea player has scored this early in a game in over 12 years. Eidur Gudjohnsen did the honors back in 2004.
Kenedy's goal after 39 seconds is #CFC 's quickest goal since Gudjohnsen (27 secs) v Arsenal on 21 Feb 2004 (2-1 defeat).

Kenedy, 20, just might be developing into a useful option out wide in his first season at Chelsea.
The Brazilian joined the Blues in August from Fluminese and only was making his second Premier League start of the season. He didn’t wait long to score his first goal in England’s top flight.
