Conor McGregor no longer is unstoppable.
The cocky Irishman talked his usual game heading into UFC 196 on Saturday night, but it was unchartered territory for the wildly popular, yet polarizing, featherweight champion.
McGregor had to fight up two weight classes in his welterweight bout against Nate Diaz, and that proved to be one challenge too much for “The Notorious.”
Diaz stunned McGregor at the 4:12 mark in Round 2 with a takedown and a subsequent rear naked choke.

It was a night of shocking results in Las Vegas, as Miesha Tate also earned the women’s bantamweight title with an upset win over Holly Holm. But Diaz took things to a whole new level with his submission win.
