Plenty of things in the world are bigger than sports rivalries, and Alex Rodriguez proved that.
The New York Yankees invited Boston Marathon bombing survivor Adrianne Haslet-Davis to throw out the first pitch against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday, and during the game, A-Rod wore a “Boston Strong” bracelet that Haslet-Davis game him.
The dancer and Washington state native, who lost her left foot in the attack, raved about the designated hitter on social media and explained how New York actually has been an integral part of the marathon bombing survivors’ healing process.

Love him or hate him, that was a nice gesture on Rodriguez’s part.
