Johnny Manziel’s never-ending saga continued Wednesday in the form of a photograph.
The former Cleveland Browns quarterback turned himself in Wednesday afternoon in Highland Park, Texas, after being indicted by a grand jury on a misdemeanor assault charge involving his ex-girlfriend.
Manziel posted $1,500 bond and soon was released, but not before police snapped the following photo during the booking process:

Despite the smirk he flashed in his mugshot, Manziel was “polite and cooperative” with police during the booking process, according to TMZ Sports.
The 23-year-old’s legal troubles are far from over, though, as he’ll appear in a Dallas County courtroom Thursday where a judge will explain the conditions of his bond.
The charges facing Manziel stem from a January incident involving his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, in which he allegedly hit Crowley several times, forced her into a car and threatened to kill both himself and Crowley.
