The Orlando Magic missed the NBA playoffs again this season, and they’re hoping a coaching change helps them take the next step in 2016-17.
It appears they’ll attempt to do so with Frank Vogel as their new head coach.
The Orlando Magic have reached a deal in principle with Frank Vogel, the Orlando Sentinel has learned.

Vogel spent the last five seasons as head coach of the Indiana Pacers before the club decided not to renew his contract earlier this month. He compiled a 250-181 regular-season record and a 31-30 mark in the playoffs, including two conference finals appearances.
Vogel replaces Scott Skiles, who went 35-47 last season for Orlando before unexpectedly resigning on May 12.
