Steph’s gonna Steph, and there’s nothing anyone — or anything — can do about it. Not even another injury.
Two-time defending NBA MVP Stephen Curry had a monster third quarter in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, scoring 17 of his 28 points in the frame to fuel the Golden State Warriors’ 118-91 blowout victory.
But for a brief moment in time, it seemed Curry might have suffered another gross — if not catastrophic — injury.
Curry dropped 11 points in the first quarter to get the Dubs off to a hot start, but dove into the stands after a loose ball and in the process apparently banged his right shooting elbow, which ballooned into a disgusting and horrific-looking knot.

It didn’t stop Curry from exploding in the third quarter, though, when he scored 15 consecutive points, including a bit of showboating on this 3-pointer that he didn’t even watch go into the basket.

With the win, the Warriors spoiled a magnificent 29-point performance from Thunder star Kevin Durant and evened the series at one game apiece before it shifts back to OKC for Games 3 and 4.
