Stewart Cink won’t play in this week’s Wells Fargo Championship or any other competitive golf tournament for the time being after his family received some unexpected and devastating news.
Cink will take some time away from the PGA Tour to support his wife, Lisa, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. The 2009 British Open champion called Lisa his biggest supporter and said it’s time to return the favor in a Twitter post Tuesday.
Since I was 15 years old, @lisacink has been my biggest supporter. It's now time for me to return the favor. pic.twitter.com/4mVRMsmfL4
