The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are NCAA champions for the first time in school history, and one Major League Baseball player is very happy about that.
Tampa Bay Rays utility man Taylor Motter is the only Coastal Carolina alum on an active MLB roster, so you’d imagine he was paying very close attention to the Chanticleers’ winner-take-all game against Arizona in the College World Series on Thursday.
Fortunately, Tropicana Field put the game on the JumboTron before the Rays’ game against the Detroit Tigers, allowing Motter to witness history.

You’d celebrate like that too if your school just won its first championship ever. Congrats, Chanticleers.
