David Ortiz got a big Texas farewell from the Rangers.
The team honored Ortiz before Saturday’s game in Arlington, helping the Boston Red Sox designated hitter celebrate his final series there in the most Texas way possible. Ortiz, accompanied by Elvis Andrus and former teammate Adrian Beltre, received a pair of custom leather cowboy boots with “Big Papi” and the Red Sox logo embroidered on them, as well as a personalized belt.

Here’s to hoping Ortiz wears those bad boys with the Stetson cowboy hat the Houston Astros gave him.
